I’ll never forget the seemingly bad news I received in late January, 2010 as I opened that mass corporatized email in Outlook.  However, to my dismay, I wasn’t overly surprised by its message. The news consisted of a company-wide change in schedules and the elimination of many part-time shifts. The email informed me that my 20-hour shift would be spread over four days as opposed to two.  This is just not possible with my college schedule, considering I worked on the weekend and had class Monday-Friday in another town an hour away.

Listening to the radio yesterday I learned about a way to spot a deal at Sam's or Costco. If you are at Sam's and see a price that ends in 1 cent (i.e. $4.51) then that product is now listed below cost. Similarly at Costco, anything listed at 97 cents (i.e. $10.97) is also listed below cost.

Some of the reasons why I want to change my financial priorities from owning "stuff" to spending my money on experiences and travels. I want to set myself up for this properly so I am working on becoming debt free and establishing multiple streams of income. This is an excellent article that really gets you thinking....

I've recently become a big fan of the blog, The Art of Nonconformity. I want to get out of the traditional 9-5 and this guy is a great example.
